Redd & Amber came by for a visit

Emalee & I treated ourselves to a delicious lunch at Pok Pok, and Zoli cooperated. These days are numbered, methinks, so I've been trying to get out and about while he is still tiny..

The "baby bjorn" sees a lot of action. On this day Zoli & Tony were wearing matching outfits, and they say that the didn't plan it..

Mt. Hood

For a change of scenery and to see some snow we headed up to Mt. Hood and the Timberline Lodge for a night. It was the farthest away from home we'd been with Zoli - luckily for us & our fellow guests, all went well!

Being a winter baby, Zoli spends a lot of time underneath our coats..

Hank

When Zoli was 1 month old we had to say goodbye to a very dear friend, our soulful & sweet dog Hank. I'm so glad that Hank & Zoli got to meet each other, but sure wish that they, and all of us would have had more time together. Our home & lives are not the same without his gentle presence.

A big moment, one we've been anxiously anticipating - a sweet reward to balance out all the hard, fussy moments. Golden.

Pragmatism

Zoli has some serious lungs. And having his diaper changed sometimes makes him a little grumpy. Tony (master diaper changer), being the pragmatic guy that he is, keeps his ear protection (designed for use with power tools) handy for such moments!
