Courthouse wedding!

Tony & I went and got hitched at the courthouse on Friday, February 19th. Our ceremony took place between 1:15-1:30 pm sharp. It was both really fun and meaningful.

James was one of our two witnesses.
We are waiting outside the courtroom for our turn.

Stealing a last kiss before the ceremony

Pinning the groom with a lily from the
Valentine's bouquet he gave to me
(he rode his bike to the courthouse from work
and changed into his suit in the bathroom!)

James bounced the baby during the ceremony.
Despite is valiant efforts, Zoli screamed through the entire 15 minutes.
Somehow, it was all very fitting.

Placing the ring

Happy husband & wife!

Judge Leslie Roberts presided over the event

Dear friends Anne & James were our witnesses
and joined us for a little after-wedding celebration

Beautiful Anne (who was also at Z's birth!)

Love

Zoli's Aunt Niki had just flown in from D.C. to meet him!
We surprised her with the news

All in the family (Niki is Tony's sister)

Zoli toasts the happy couple with a frothy
tropical beverage of his choice. Cheers!

Smiles & snoozes

More friends of Z

Redd & Amber came by for a visit

Emalee & I treated ourselves to a delicious lunch at Pok Pok, and Zoli cooperated. These days are numbered, methinks, so I've been trying to get out and about while he is still tiny..

Baby wearing

The "baby bjorn" sees a lot of action. On this day Zoli & Tony were wearing matching outfits, and they say that the didn't plan it..

Mt. Hood

For a change of scenery and to see some snow we headed up to Mt. Hood and the Timberline Lodge for a night. It was the farthest away from home we'd been with Zoli - luckily for us & our fellow guests, all went well!

The historic Timberline Lodge, a WPA project, built in the 30's, featuring a cool modern winter entrance, just constructed

The view from our room at the lodge

I guess the snuggie is still a little bit big for him!

Being a winter baby, Zoli spends a lot of time underneath our coats..

Hank

When Zoli was 1 month old we had to say goodbye to a very dear friend, our soulful & sweet dog Hank. I'm so glad that Hank & Zoli got to meet each other, but sure wish that they, and all of us would have had more time together. Our home & lives are not the same without his gentle presence.
